Design assignment: Train Environment

The assignment last week was to create an environment base on which to place our train designs. The background wall had to be a dark color, in order to let the train design itself pop out in contrast (and also allow us to carve off the excess space by markering the unwanted portions to merge into the background wall.)

This sucker took me way too many hours to finish, but I feel like Al Yu's instruction in 2-pt perspective and drawing foliage from last semester really paid off in this assignment. Although I had tons of fun drawing a million plants, I'd like to do another version with more movement in the composition and marker technique...

I think Eric's marker technique is always a good example of the fast and movement-filled style that the professor is always pushing us to achieve. Watch out for this guy!
