Product - Desk Lamp Heater (II)
Some continuation from my last post on the heater project. I generated some additional versions of the concept for the presentation.
Left: Some more exploration work for my desktop heater concept - clockwise from top left is the curvaceous twisting adjustable necked version, then a folding counterbalanced lamp with metallic/nonmetallic material meetup, and finally a version styled with a flat ribbon shape.
Right: Thinking about how to make a heater unit that would fold open and closed for different functions, with a base that could contain a fan/heating element.
Left: The flat ribbon shaped version became an adjustable necked design with a clamp base designed to fit around the side of platform style desks, ideal for drafting tables.
Right: I took some inspiration from the Karim Rashid Kone vacuum, which is designed to also be attractive when not in use. The hinged design became a self-storing heater that would function either as a desk lamp when opened, or as a standalone heater with glowing night-light effect when closed.
